The National Agriculture Conference — Rabi Abhiyan 2025 — was extended by a day to make it a two-day affair (September 15-16) on the initiative of Union minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. A key highlight of the event in New Delhi was the participation of agriculture ministers from 19 states. While most states were represented by a single minister, Uttar Pradesh stood out with three representatives. Besides Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, Yogi Adityanath-led UP government also sent Deputy Minister Baldev Singh Aulakh and MoS (independent charge) for Horticulture Dinesh Pratap Singh on the second day.
With the Executive Enclave project, which will house the new offices of the Prime Minister, the Cabinet Secretariat and the National Security Council Secretariat in three buildings, nearing completion, the shifting of the PMO from South Block is on the cards. It is learnt that the Cabinet Secretariat could start shifting into the new complex from its current location at Rashtrapati Bhavan during the Navratri, which starts on September 22. South Block and North Block will be converted into a museum.
