Delhi Confidential: Bihar Outreach

After a meeting with party leaders from Bihar, BJP national leadership on Wednesday decided to kickstart the party’s outreach programme with BJP national president J P Nadda going to Jhanjharpur on June 24 to attend a public rally.

After a meeting with party leaders from Bihar, BJP national leadership on Wednesday decided to kickstart the party’s outreach programme with BJP national president J P Nadda going to Jhanjharpur on June 24 to attend a public rally. Home Minister Amit Shah will be in Munger district for various programmes, including a public rally on June 29. The party leaders will mainly highlight the achievements of the Narendra Modi government, but they will also “expose (CM) Nitish Kumar”.

Pre-Visit Bonhomie

With a week to go for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s US visit, several top US officials have been in Delhi this week. On Wednesday, US Deputy National Security Adviser and G20 Sherpa Mike Pyle paid a visit to Union Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Puri, along with India’s G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant. Puri also met US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti and discussed cooperation in green energy and urbanisation.
