Youth ‘sells’ people police jobs,arrested

The crime branch of Pune police have arrested a 21-year-old man for allegedly duping youths by promising them jobs as commandos with Quick Response Team of Pune police.

The crime branch of Pune police have arrested a 21-year-old man for allegedly duping youths by promising them jobs as commandos with Quick Response Team of Pune police. Police have seized forged letterheads with police emblem and Anti Terrorism Squad written on it.

On a tip-off from social security cell of Pune police,a team from the Anti Terrorism Cell of the crime branch has arrested Sagar Vasant Kamble. Tambe said,“Kamble had got printed letterheads of ATS and used to take Rs 10,000 from youths assuring them of jobs as commandos with the QRT. He has also forged the signature of a senior police officer. We have seized a cell phone and three forged letters with signature with name,K P Raghuvanshi (ex-ATS chief).”

Police have also found out four persons who were allegedly duped by Kamble. He had told them that an officer named Kiran Yadav is recruiting commandos with QRT. He had taken Rs 8,000 as fees and Rs 2,000 and charges for ‘police kit.’ Kamble was arrested on Friday. Police are now looking for other accomplices of Kamble.

Along with Tambe,investigation team included constables Deepak Mate,Sharad Jadhav,Appa Gaikwad,Sandeep Patil,Suhas Kadam and Sachin Gawali. Police have urged people to contact inspector Sunil Tambe for similar cases of duping. Tambe can be contacted at 020-26121685 and 9923257819.
