The ‘Timeless DeTour- 2011’ show took people through the richness of different fabrics and styles. Organised by the fashion department of Symbiosis Institute of Design at its Viman Nagar campus on Saturday,the event began with a seminar by Bela Shanghavi,president of the Craft Council of Maharashtra. The budding designers then showcased their creativity on stage. An array of ideas was presented the students explored traditional crafts from the states of Kerala,Orissa,Kolkata,Assam and Kullu. The ramp came alive with dresses,skirts and chic semi-formal wear in hues ranging from emerald green to onion pink.
The Midas Touch
Actors Dia Mirza and Zayed Khan were in town on Monday to promote their film,Love Breakups Zindagi,which is set to hit the theatres on October 7. The actors visited the P N Gadgil jewellery showroom in Camp and also launched their new festive season collection ‘Dazzle like a Queen’. Dia,who plays Naina in the film,said,”Naina is an open-minded,honest girl who lives life to the fullest.” She is paired opposite Zayed Khan,who joked,I have been a domestic engineer for the past two years. I am glad that I tread the Bollywood path with this film! The film also stars Cyrus Sahukar and newcomers Vaibhav Talwar,Palavi and Umang. It is also the directorial debut of Dia’s beau Sahil Sangha.
