Rape-murder in Lonavala: Court allows polygraph test on hotel employees

Special judge Prachi Kulkarni Wednesday allowed an application filed lby the Pune rural police seeking to conduct a lie detector test on staffers working at Kumar Resort in Lonavala where a seven-year-old girl was found brutally raped and murdered last week.

Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Lonavala division Bhaskar Thorat had filed the petition on Monday. The matter was listed for hearing on Wednesday. After going through all the circumstances in the case, the judge issued orders in favour of the police.

District government pleader Ujjwala Pawar argued for the police.

The court also appealed to residents come forward with information about the main suspect who is still absconding. Suspects in the case include hotel staffer Ajay Shankar Dodade (42), who is from Wardha.
