The Pune RTO recorded a 37 percent increase in revenue from selling exclusive number plates for vehicles in 2023. The overall increase in revenue totalled to Rs 11.75 crore.
The auctioning of various fancy numbers for the vehicle owners becomes an additional source of revenue for the RTO, which collected Rs 43.53 crore in 2023, compared to Rs 31.78 crore the year before.
