Couple unleash dog on MSEDCL staffer for trying to disconnect their power supply: Pimpri-Chinchwad Police

A couple have been booked by Pimpri-Chinchwad Police for allegedly pelting a stone and unleashing a dog on a staffer of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) who tried to disconnect their power supply over pending bills.

MSEDCL staffer Bhagyashree Kamble has lodged the first information report in this case at the Chakan police station. Police have identified the accused as Ashvini Dudhawde and Vinod Dudhawde, residents of Shelgaon in Khed.

According to police, the accused allegedly did not pay their electricity bills despite repeated reminders. So Kamble went to the house of the accused to disconnect their electricity supply on Tuesday evening. The couple, however, allegedly pelted a stone at Kamble and unleashed a dog on her.

Based on a complaint lodged by Kamble, police have booked the accused under sections 353 (causing disturbance in government work), 289, 336, 506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
