The Kickoff Interschool Football Tournament hosted by Delhi Public School Kondhwa ended on a high note for the DPS team on Sunday as they beat Vidya Valley School in a closely contested encounter at the DPS grounds on Sunday.
The tourney,which was a knockout tournament,featured 16 teams that saw the semi finals being decided between DPS and Anglo Urdu School and Vidya Valley School and RIMS International School. Continuing their fine form from the league round DPS began making life nightmarish for the Anglo Urdu team,which had pulled off a stunner of a win against the formidable St Vincents line up on Friday.DPS routed Anglo Urdu beating them 4 goals to 1 in a grossly lopsided encounter.
The final eventually saw DPS pit against the Vidya Valley School. After a goalless two halves the match moved into the penalty shootout where DPS edged out their opponents 4-3.
