A massive fire broke out at a garage in the Dudhane Lawns area of Pune’s Karve Nagar Saturday. However, the situation is now under control.

The Pune Fire Brigade said it received a call informing it about the fire around 11.30 am. Two water tankers have been deployed to control the fire.

The fire has caused significant damage to the garage and the building. Heavy smoke billowed out of the site, raising concerns among the locals.

“The situation is under control. The reason for the fire outbreak is being investigated but for now, the safety of the residents is of utmost concern,” a fire officer said.

Over the last month, Pune has witnessed several fire outbreaks.
