ABIL Group,a city-based player in the real estate,infrastructure and hospitality sectors,on Monday announced the launch of its premiere series of ABIL Corporate Cricket Champions Cup 09 which will see 16 champion teams from the corporate world battling it out for top honours.
The championship will kick-start on November 7 at the Deccan Gymkhana Ground.
The tournament will be played on invitational basis. 16 winning teams from various sectors,like automobiles,IT,manufacturing and telecom.,finance and pharma like automobiles,IT,media,manufacturing,telecom,finance and pharma. This T20 tournament will be played with adherence to the international rules and standards. Sixteen teams will be divided into four groups. Each team will play with all the teams in their respective groups implying at least three games per side followed by quarter finals,semi finals and finals.
Winners and runner up will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and Rs 75,000 respectively. Best batsman,best bowler,best fielder and man of the series will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs 25,000 each and a trophy. There will also be a Man of the match declared for each of the matches played who will receive a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 2,000.
