Ajit Pawar’s chopper makes emergency landing near Karad

A chopper carrying Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had to make an emergency landing near Karad in Satara district after it lost direction due to bad weather conditions on Monday morning,it is learnt.

A chopper carrying Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had to make an emergency landing near Karad in Satara district after it lost direction due to bad weather conditions on Monday morning,it is learnt. Sources said Pawar and the chopper crew were safe. The deputy DM was on a political tour of western Maharashtra. After his chopper landed near Kadegaon,he went to the Karad airport in a private vehicle and took a flight to Mumbai from there,said the sources. “The deputy CM arrived at Aundh in Satara district very early morning to attend certain public events. He then headed towards Karad in his chopper. However,fog and bad light conditions over Surali ghat posed difficulties before the pilot and he lost his way. The chopper then made an emergency landing on a ground near Kadegaon adjacent to Karad,” said a source.
