Presenting a unique compilation of romantic numbers that have both experienced as well as newcomers singing them,the Marathi album Ha Sparsh was launched in the city recently. The album boasts of tracks that have been sung by the likes of Kunal Ganjawala,Vaishali Samant,Neha Rajpal,Nihira Joshi along with newcomers like Chetali Desai,Mandar Apte,Priya Bansode and Pranali Kakodkar. The album contains 11 tracks and are mostly centered around love. A part of the proceeds will go to the NGO SACH that works towards helping children lead better lives.

The Mrs Pune 2012 competition that was held recently at Vivanta by Taj Blue Diamond was a glittering affair. Presented by the Rotary Club of Poona Mid Town the event saw the women walk the ramp showcasing designer and Paithani sarees. While the event also saw the contestants showcase their talents in the talent round,it was Urmi Salve who walked away with the top honours. In addition Manisha Patil and Mugdha Raibole walked away as first and second runners up respectively. The event was choreographed by Pooja Singh and supported by desinger Naaz Shaikh and hair and make-up stylist Shwetambari Pol.

Kamal Hassan is considered to be one of the best Indian actors with notable films in several languages,including English,Hindi and Tamil. The multilingual actor is now set to make his Hollywood debut. Barrie Osborne,the producer of Lord of the Rings,The Waterhorse and The Prophet,has signed on the 58-year-old actor. The details of the film are yet to be chalked out but it is being said that the story will be an emotional journey that suits Indian sensibilities. The treatment,however,will be Hollywood style,the kind Osborne is credited for.
