The Mumbai police Monday detained a Dubai-based woman for allegedly gaining entry into the house of actor Aditya Roy Kapoor in Bandra on the false pretext to meet him, and charged her with trespassing.

According to the police, the woman arrived at the actor’s Bandra (West) house at around 6 pm Monday when he was out for shooting.

They said the actor’s house help, Sangeeta Pawar, opened the door and found the woman standing at the doorstep.

The woman asked Pawar if it was Aditya Roy Kapoor’s house; she told her it was.

The woman then told her that she had come to give clothes and gifts to the actor, following this, Pawar let her inside the house.

The police complaint said that when Pawar asked the woman if she had an appointment with Kapoor, she told her she was to meet him at 6 pm.

After some time, Kapoor came home, and Pawar told him about the woman waiting to meet him.

However, he told Pawar that he didn’t know who she was, the police complaint added.

When the woman tried to get close to the actor, Pawar asked him to go out.

The police complaint said that after Kapoor went out, Pawar asked the woman to leave, but she refused and insisted on meeting the actor.

Pawar then called the actor’s house manager and another manager, who then informed the Khar police.

On Pawar’s complaint, the police registered a First Information Report (FIR) under the section of house trespass against the woman, and served her a notice.

The woman, when questioned by the police, identified herself as Gazala Zakaria Siddiqui from Liwan, Dubai.

A police officer said she didn’t give any satisfactory response to the police, indicating she may have criminal intentions.

“The woman had come to see the actor. But she trespassed on the actor’s house. Since it was night, we served her notice, but we will arrest her soon and will produce her before a court,” said Adhikrao Pol, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Bandra Division).
