Charges at the city’s five toll nakas Vashi, Mulund LBS, Mulund EEH, Dahisar WEH, Airoli will increase starting from October 1. The increase in toll charges usually takes place every three years. The previous increase in toll rates took place in 2020.
As per the revised charges, the toll charges will increase by Rs 5 for light motor vehicles (Rs 45) from Rs 40 for a one way trip. Similarly, truck and mini buses carrying passengers up to 20 excluding driver it will be Rs 75 from Rs 70. Truck and bus Rs 150 from Rs 130. For heavy motor vehicles it will be Rs 190 from Rs 160 respectively.
The revised charges which will come into force from October 1st this year and will continue till 2026.
The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), which takes care of the city’s five toll plazas, has hired a private agency —named MEPL concessionaire. Sanjay Yadav, Joint Managing Director MSRDC said that the appointed concessionaire will collect the toll till 2026. The toll collection at five entry points is valid till 2027.
