Bayroute turns five
The city’s popular Middle Eastern restaurant Bayroute is ringing in its fifth birthday and has put together a limited-time anniversary menu featuring dishes from five countries. Expect Turkish Baked Jacket Potato, layered with soft whipped mashed potatoes, smoked cheese topped with flavourful labneh and spicy harissa; classic mezze platters with a variety of dips; Egyptian semolina cake with melt-in-mouth coconut flakes; and Persian Tulumba made with fried pastries among an array of dishes.

Kim Woojin in the house
K-lovers, here’s some good news for you. K-pop sensation Kim Woojin, who recently clinched the Top Artist award at Asia Top Awards 2023, is in Mumbai this weekend. The India tour will see Woojin, a soloist, performing songs from his latest album, Bounce, such as ‘On My Way’, ‘Telepathy’ and ‘Say Something To Me’, all of which explore themes of individuality.

Gujarati-Rajasthani food festival in Thane
Thane-based Indian restaurant Masaledar is paying homage to the culinary legacies of Gujarat and Rajasthan through a 6-course sit-down meal. Expect classic dishes like Surti undhiyu, daal baati churma, Kathiyawadi lasaniya bateka and gatte ki sabzi, as well as their contemporary interpretation like Rajasthani tacos, Kutchi dabeli sliders and red velvet dhokla.
