SpiceJet flight SG 455, between Mumbai and Goa was delayed by around four hours from 4 pm at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (Mumbai) on Thursday. The Goa-bound plane was diverted back to Mumbai because of inclement weather in Goa, SpiceJet officials said. An official statement from SpiceJet said: “The flight has now departed at 7.30 pm. SpiceJet apologises to all its passengers travelling on Mumbai-Goa sector. The bad weather at Goa is beyond the airline’s control.”

Goa Airport Director, Bhupesh Negi, however, said most flights in the afternoon were delayed due to naval flights flying to Goa airport.
