Sena Dusshera Rally Live Updates: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde along with other leaders of the Shinde faction of Shiv Sena, participated in the party’s Dussehra rally at Nesco, Goregaon East in Mumbai on Thursday. Addressing the gathering, Shinde criticised Rahul Gandhi, claiming he “speaks in the tongue of Pakistan.” He also took aim at Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, calling him a “conspiracy chief” who undermines his own party cadres politically. Shinde added that he doubts Thackeray’s influence will last beyond the upcoming local body elections.

Shiv Sena (UBT) Uddhav Thackeray rally: Despite heavy rainfall, Sena UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray addressed the party’s annual Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park in Mumbai ahead of the local body elections. In his speech, Thackeray criticised the BJP, calling it “an amoeba” that, like an upset stomach, has disrupted society and eroded peace. He also alleged corruption and double standards in governance, saying officials are being caught while ministers enjoy impunity, liquor licenses are issued in ministers’ names, and dance bars are being opened under the names of mother and wife.

Durga idol immersions on Vijayadashami: Till 6 pm on Thursday, the final day of Durga Puja, a total of 281 Durga idols were immersed across Mumbai’s water bodies. Of these, 50 were Sarvajanik (public) idols, while 231 were Gharghuti (private) idols.
