A senior citizen was robbed of cash and valuables amounting to Rs 63,000 in Santacruz on Saturday night.

A senior citizen was robbed of cash and valuables amounting to Rs 63,000 in Santacruz on Saturday night. Three unidentified men accosted 67-year-old Hemendra Kothari when he was getting into his car near Santacruz.

They addressed Kothari as uncle and threatened him before fleeing with his mobile phone,cash,a gold chain and a diamond ring.

A police official from the Santacruz police station said,We are in the process of making the sketches of the trio based on the description given by Kothari. We are also showing him the photographs of registered offenders to see if the suspects have any prior criminal record.
