The Mumbai police have arrested a lift technician who allegedly molested three girls of a school, where he was called to repair its lift.
According to the police, the man, while repairing the lift, allegedly touched the girls – two of them aged 10 and the other 12 years – inappropriately while they were in the school basements on Wednesday.
The accused, after ensuring that no one was around, tried to sexually assault the girls who later informed their teacher, the police said.
The teacher then informed the local police station following which the officers detained the accused from the school.
An officer said that the accused was placed under arrest on Wednesday and remanded to police custody for four days.

In August, two students from a Badlapur-based school were molested by a male sweeper that had led to widespread protests and outrage in the area.
