The Meghwadi police Friday arrested a 37-year-old man for allegedly pouring boiling oil on his wifes face while she was sleeping on Thursday. Liyaqat Ali Sheikh allegedly committed the crime in the presence of their four-year-old son. Liyaqat suspected his wife Rukhsana (30) of having affairs with male customers at the eatery that she ran from home,police said. While Rukhsana is being treated for 45 per cent burns at Sion hospital,Liyaqat has been booked under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC.
