On a day when the Noida police named YouTuber and Bigg Boss winner Elvish Yadav in an FIR for allegedly organising a rave party where prohibited snake venom was used, the Maharashtra Congress on Friday released a photo of him at the official residence of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Yadav had allegedly been invited to perform puja during the Ganesh festival.
“Is the chief minister’s residence now a tourist spot for criminals? A…YouTuber like Elvish Yadav who is accused of organising rave parties with snake drugs was specially invited for a puja at the CM’s official residence,” Atul Londhe, the chief spokesperson of Maharashtra Congress, posted on X, formerly Twitter.
Londhe also posted a photograph of former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis from inside Varsha, the official residence of the CM, where he was clicked with an alleged criminal Baba Bodke.
Leader of Opposition Vijay Wadettiwar also posted a photo of Yadav on X, questioning the chief minister for making Yadav a role model for the youth of the state.
Yadav, who said on Friday that he was innocent, is a YouTube influencer from Haryana, known for making controversial comments in his videos. He also won the reality television show Big Boss OTT 2 in August 2023, following which he received a grand welcome on his return to Haryana where Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar received him, terming him as a youth icon.
