Man with criminal record expelled from Maharashtra district over posts on deputy CM’s wife Amruta Fadnavis

The Chandrapur Police this month initiated externment proceedings against him and externed him from the district for a period of one year.

A man with prior criminal history who had made an offensive post against Amruta Fadnavis, the wife of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was externed for a period of one year from Chandrapur district.

Khemdev Garpalliwar is a resident of Gondpimpri in Chandrapur district and his wife is a corporator. Garpalliwar who has multiple cases filed against him including cheating and intimidation had earlier put out a post where he had criticised Amruta Fadnavis over a statement made by her in June 2022 where she had stated that Government needs to recognise sex work as a profession. Garpalliwars post on social media against Fadnavis had led to a case being filed against him by BJP workers.

The Chandrapur Police this month initiated externment proceedings against him and externed him from the district for a period of one year. The Chandrapur Police also issued a press release announcing Garpalliwar’s externment which stated that “Man who put out objectionable post against Amruta Fadnavis externed from district”
