The crime branch on Thursday said they had issued summons to four persons including actor Sahil Khan in connection with the FIR registered by it in the Mahadev app betting case. Incidentally, Khan had approached the court seeking anticipatory bail, which was rejected earlier this week.
A senior officer said, “We issued summons to accused Amit Sharma on Thursday but he did not turn up. We have now summoned actor Sahil Khan, his brother Sam and another accused Hitesh Khushlani to join investigation on Friday.”
A total of 31 accused are named in the FIR, some of whom are not in the country. While the ED has been probing the case, the Mumbai police registered an FIR based on an order by magistrate court. The matter was later transferred to Mumbai crime branch for further probe.
