Mumbai News Highlights: Villages put on alert due to possible overflow of dams amid rains in Thane, Palghar

Mumbai, Maharashtra News Highlights: Jawhar taluka in Palghar recorded the maximum downpour of 146 mm in the 24 hours till 10 am on Tuesday, a local revenue official said.

Mumbai News Highlights: The administrations in Thane and Palghar districts of Maharashtra have alerted villages near river banks, warning them of a possible overflow of dams, as catchment areas have received good rainfall over the last few days, PTI reported quoting officials. The Tansa and Modaksagar dams were on the verge of overflowing and villages on the banks of the rivers surrounding these have been put on alert.

While addressing party workers in Dahisar, Aaditya said the rebel legislators took advantage of former CM and Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray's illness and betrayed the party for their own “monstrous ambitions”.

To reach out to the party cadre at the grassroot level, Aaditya began a Nishtha (loyalty) Yatra on Friday as part of which he will visit all shakhas of the Sena across Mumbai.
