The government has sought an early interim report from the two member judicial commission inquiring into the Adarsh scam.

The government has sought an early interim report from the two member judicial commission inquiring into the Adarsh scam. Sources said the “overlap” in terms of reference and scope of work between the CBI and the commission is causing a delay.

The government has sought an interim report at least on the first two terms of reference pertaining to the ownership of the land. The commission,however,has said that it is unlikely that they would be able to submit the report before the ongoing Budget session concludes on April 20. Meanwhile,sources said the government was seeking credible evidence from the CBI before initiating suspension proceedings against IAS officials named in the scam.
