Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray will release ‘Prashasan’ (administration), a book authored by senior party leader and former Chief Minister Manohar Joshi on his birthday on December 2.
The books includes 17 interviews taken by Joshi of professionals from various sectors sharing their experiences about bureaucracy. Some of the big names include Subhash Desai, Sena minister, Arvind Inamdar, former Maharashtra Director General of Police, MP Raju Shetty, Justice (retd) Bhimrao Naik of the Bombay High Court and IAS officer Tuakaram Mundhe, among others.
Joshi said the book deals with the “red tape in bureaucracy” and how delay in decisions make common man suffer. “I don’t want to defame the bureaucracy, but want to make them aware of these issues,” Joshi said, adding that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari may attend the book release function.
The Sena leader decided to pen the book in June after one of his activists was rejected a house in a redevelopment building. “The activist has been running from pillar to post for the last ten years. He, along with his two brothers, used to live together. While he was rejected a house, his two brothers got homes. I was pained and decided to write a book by interviewing various people,” added Joshi.
