Mumbai: Fire breaks out in highrise builiding in Nagpada, doused

Four fire engines and four water tankers were pressed into action. Officials said that fire started from one of the flats on the 10th floor.

A major fire that broke out at a residential building in Nagpada on Saturday night has been doused. According to officials from the Mumbai Mumbai Fire Brigade, the fire broke out on the 10th floor of the 24-storey high rise Bismillah tower in south Mumbai’s Nagpada area around 10 pm. Fire Control Room confirmed that the fire was brought under control at 11.15.

Four fire engines and four water tankers were pressed into action. Officials said that fire started from one of the flats on the 10th floor. The cause of the fire is suspected to be a short circuit, no injuries have been reported.
