Bollywood actor and director Deepak Tijori has filed a case of cheating against one of his co-producers at Amboli police station in Mumbai.
Tijori alleged that he was duped of Rs 2.6 crore by his co-producer Mohan Nadar with whom he was to produce a movie. An FIR has been registered on charges of cheating and an investigation is currently underway into the matter, a police official said.
According to the actor, Nadar and he were to co-produce the thriller titled ‘Tipppsy’. Tijori was to direct the project. He further said that the film was scheduled to be shot in London in 2019 and alleged that he had given Rs 2.6 crore to Nadar for the same.
However, Tijori claimed the film was not completed on time. Though he repeatedly sought repayment of the amount, Nadar provided various excuses, he said. He further alleged that the cheques provided by the co-producer also kept bouncing, prompting him to lodge a complaint.
