The state will pay for the treatment of the woman who was allegedly molested and assaulted by a 17-year-old pizza delivery boy in Worli last Tuesday,minister for women and child welfare Varsha Gaikwad said Sunday. The minister said the owner of the pizza outlet must be prosecuted for employing a minor and letting him drive a motorcycle without a driving licence.

Tutor arrested for molesting 7-year-old

Sakinaka police Saturday arrested a 25-year-old tutor for allegedly molesting his seven-year-old student at his residence. The victim alleged the accused,Imran Shaikh,touched her inappropriately on three to four occasions last month,police said.

Saturday,after other students left around 9 pm,Shaikh asked the victim to wait as he wanted to take extra classes.

Tree fall hits Central Railway services

Central Railway (CR) services were disrupted Sunday after a tree fell on overhead equipment at 11.25 pm between Vidyavihar and Ghatkopar stations. Power supply was stopped to remove the branches. Trains were diverted to the down fast line,said A K Singh,public relations officer,CR.
