A British national of Indian origin was caught on camera stealing a passengers mobile phone at the Mumbai airport on Tuesday.
According to airport officials Mehrosh Manik Shah,who was on his way to Singapore,forgot his mobile phone in one of the baskets at the CISF security check terminal.
Ten minutes later Shah returned and informed the CISF officials of his phone. They checked the CCTV footage and caught the theft. The British national was picked up and the phone was recovered. He was handed over to the Sahar police. The fact that he had removed the SIM card from the phone made his intentions clear and thats why we handed him to the police, said CISF Senior Commandant,JS Negi.
