An IndiGo flight from Jaipur to Mumbai landed under full-scale emergency conditions at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) on Monday evening after a bomb threat note was found onboard, officials said.

According to officials, flight 6E 5324 from Jaipur arrived safely at Mumbai airport around 8.50 pm after the authorities announced a full emergency at 8.43 pm.

A bomb threat message was discovered in one of the toilets of the plane while it was mid-air. As part of standard safety procedure, the crew promptly notified the air traffic control, and emergency procedures were initiated.

After landing, the plane was taken to a secluded bay and checked by bomb disposal teams and CISF officials. No suspicious object was found, according to sources.

“As a precaution, full emergency was declared at Mumbai Airport at 2043 hrs. The flight landed safely at 2050 hrs. Airport operations remain unaffected. CSMIA is actively coordinating with the airline and security agencies. The safety of passengers and staff remains our top priority,” said a CSMIA spokesperson.
