Amid differences of opinion between Maha Vikas Aghadi allies including Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress and Nationalist Congress Party on a number of issues, Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray called on NCP chief Sharad Pawar on Tuesday evening at his residence Silver Oak in South Mumbai.

The meeting between the two leaders lasted for over an hour. Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut and Pawar’s daughter and NCP leader Supriya Sule were also present for the meeting.

According to a source in the Sena (UBT), during the meeting, the two leaders discussed the ongoing issues in the MVA as well as the contradictory statements made by MVA leaders on different issues.

None of the leaders made a statement to the media after the meeting.

“Both are MVA leaders and have time and again said that the opposition stands united despite different opinions on certain issues. The meeting sends the message that the Maha Vikas Aghadi is united,” said a NCP leader.
