Anil Pawar and Neelam Kadam,both from hosts Orlem Sports Council,did their club proud by winning the prestigious mens (10 km) and womens (5 km) road races in the All Mumbai Road Races,sponsored by Seven Hills Hospital and hosted by Orlem Sports Council here at Malad on Sunday. In all there were 18 competitors in various age groups.
Anil,who clocked 25:11.4 secs,had to encounter a still challenge from the runners from Sports Authority of India (Kandivali). In fact,the race was pretty close as the next five runners were all from the SAI Centre.
However,Neelam,who timed 20:12.1 seconds,won the 5 km run quite comfortably with Pooja Kocharekar and Chandra Balawale trailed behind her.

Women (5 km): 1. Neelam Kadam (OSC)- 30:12.1 secs. 2. Pooja Kocharekar( B.Vartak); 3. Chanda Balawale (B.Vartak). Men (10km): 1. Anil Pawar (OSC) 25:11.4 secs. 2. lHashad Matre (SAI) ;3.
