Adarsh-tainted official shifted to state poll panel

The government has also transferred 14 other official in its fourth bureaucratic shuffle.

The state government on Friday transferred the Adarsh-tainted senior official Pradeep Vyas as secretary, State Election Commission.

After being shunted out for two years for his alleged role in the Adarsh housing controversy, Pradeep Vyas was reinstated into service in May last year as member secretary, Rest of Maharashtra Statutory Development Board.

Besides, the government also transferred 14 other official in its fourth bureaucratic shuffle since the start of this year. Among them is Vyas’ wife, Seema Vyas, who has been posted as the managing director at the Mumbai-based Haffkine Bio-Pharma Corporation.
