Teachers seek removal of SSA director-general

On the occasion of Teachers Day,different teachers unions,including the Democratic Teachers Front,Punjab School Teachers Union and ETT Adhyapak Union today raised slogans against Krishan Kumar,Director General Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan,Punjab,for his alleged dictatorial attitude.

On the occasion of Teachers Day,different teachers unions,including the Democratic Teachers Front,Punjab School Teachers Union and ETT Adhyapak Union today raised slogans against Krishan Kumar,Director General Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan,Punjab,for his alleged dictatorial attitude. They also burnt his effigy at the Mini Secretariat.

The DG has been behaving in a very dictatorial manner. He suspends teachers without proper investigation. We want his post to be abolished. The powers of secretary education and DPI Schools have been given to him but he is not following the civil services rules, alleged once of the leaders.
