New MC commissioner assumes office

New MC Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Agarwal assumed charge at Sarabha Nagar Zone D office on Sunday evening.

After joining the office, he said that development works would be completed on a priority basis. He asked the officials to work hard.

Earlier in the day, he accompanied the team from the CMO for cleaning of Buddha Nullah survey.

On Friday, IAS officer Basant Garg was announced as new MC Commissioner, Ludhiana. But later, orders were changed and Agarwal was transferred to Ludhiana as MC Commissioner.

Agarwal, who is a 2006-batch Indian Administrative Service officer, has served on posts of Rupnagar Deputy Commissioner  and also Ludhiana Additional Deputy Commissioner.
