BCM boy wins dance competition

Raghav from BCM Senior Secondary School,Chandigarh left the audience spellbound and won the first prize at DAV Public School,BRS Nagar on Saturday

Raghav from BCM Senior Secondary School,Chandigarh left the audience spellbound and won the first prize at DAV Public School,BRS Nagar on Saturday. The inter-school solo classical dance competition was organised by Sahodya,a body formed by city schools. He was followed by Tanisha Anand from Guru Nanak Public School and Kamaljot Kaur from BCM Arya Model,Shastri Nagar. “It was heartening to see the boy’s performance. He was so full of expressions. He broke the cliche that only girls can perform classical dance,” said elated J K Sidhu,principal of DAV School. “Sahodya should keep on organising more such competitions to keep the Indian tradition alive,” she added.
