Lucknow Police on Wednesday arrested two persons for allegedly harassing a woman while she was riding pillion on a motorcycle in the Gomti Nagar area amid heavy rainfall in the city. The woman fell from the bike as the accused forcibly stopped and started pulling the vehicle.
A video of the incident went viral on social media.
The arrested persons have been identified as Pawan Yadav and Sunil Yadav, police said, adding raids are underway to trace the other accused.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Lucknow, Raveena Tyagi, said after taking cognizance of the incident, they began scrutinizing the video to identify the miscreants. A case was lodged under relevant charges, and three police teams were formed to identify the accused.
