Guards framed, want CBI probe: Anmol kin
Anmol was sitting quietly in the middle of a pathway, with cars parked on both sides. There were 30 to 40 people, including women, standing 50-100 metres away. I asked them what had happened but no one said anything. Then one man (Anmols friend Pranels father) came forward and said Anmol had consumed drugs and injured himself, and that we should rush him to Max hospital, the officer is learnt to have told his superiors.

The officer then helped Anmol get up. He asked him if he was fine but Anmol did not utter a word. We spent just five minutes at the spot, and then took Anmol to the PCR van. He walked with our support and sat inside the van. There was blood on his chin but he was not bleeding from his head. I again asked him if he is fine, but he did not respond, the officer is learnt to have told his superiors.
After leaving Kalkaji, the PCR van driver is learnt to have suggested that Anmol should be taken to Moolchand hospital.
NRIs death: Police search Noida, find bloodstains on cars
That would have meant taking a 500-metre U-turn. We also thought of driving to Spring Meadows hospital in East of Kailash but the stretch was barricaded and it would have taken us another 10 minutes to go around Amar Colony to reach that hospital,so we decided to drive straight to AIIMS. On the way,Anmol was quiet throughout and his muscles began to contract and he began frothing, the assistant sub-inspector is learnt to have said.
The gunman, the officer and Pranels father, who were in the van, made Anmol lie down. I pressed my ear to his chest to see if was still breathing. He was alive. I rubbed his hands and gave him resuscitation to make sure he survived till we reached the hospital. We reached the hospital at 12.44 am, the officer is learnt to have told his superiors.
Police sources said the first call to the police control room was made around 12.05 am by a neighbour in the colony, saying there was a quarrel between two groups. It was only when another call was made around 12.08 am,saying that someone had got hurt, that the control room sent a PCR van, police sources said.
Meanwhile,Ajit Sahi,a journalist working with Tehelka and who has claimed to be an eyewitness in the case, stated that he narrated the entire incident to senior police officers. Sahi, who lives in the same apartment complex, stated that he was one of three witnesses the other two being the guards who have been arrested in the case. He stated that he can vouch that the two co-witnesses (guards) did not murder Anmol.
P Karunakaran,DCP (Southeast),said Sahis statement had been recorded but it had certain discrepancies and did not corroborate with the evidence the investigating team collected from the scene of crime. He said they arrested the guards on after they got sufficient evidence.
