The prosecution in the Aarushi-Hemraj double murder case cross-examined the London-based forensic expert,who had earlier pointed out irregularities in the DNA evidence submitted by the CBI,and said he wasnt competent to analyse the sample in the CBI court in Ghaziabad.

Aarushis parents Rajesh and Nupur Talwar are standing trial for the murder of their 14-year-old daughter and domestic help Hemraj. The murders took place in May 2008.

Andre Semikhodski,a defence witness,had previously told the court that he disagreed with the findings of the prosecution,and that the DNA report submitted in the case could lead to a miscarriage of justice. Semikhodski denied the prosecutions charges that he wasnt competent to analyse the sample.
To a prosecutions question regarding the difference in DNA testing in different countries,Semikhodski said while rule of evidence in regard to DNA testing might differ,the protocol of DNA testing remains the same as the protocol is supplied by the manufacturer of the DNA analysis kit.

He reiterated his previous criticism of Dr B K Mahapatra,who had compiled the report,and said that in the present case he hadnt connected the accused with the crime in any DNA report. He had previously stated that Mahapatras report made it impossible to put his findings within the frame of current criminal case.
