A CISF constable allegedly shot dead his senior officer,an inspector,in the wee hours Sunday following an altercation between them during a roll-call session,police said. The incident took place at Garden Reach CISF camp around 1.25 am.

Company commander CISF inspector Gurupada Shit was shot dead allegedly by constable Nilkanta Behra,after the former rebuked his junior for being on phone during the routine roll call.

The constable reached the CISF camp and opened three rounds of fire on the sleeping officer who died on the spot. Later,Behra surrendered himself before the CISF officers.

The two,it is said,have had altercations on several issues in the recent past.
