Massive fire breaks out at Secunderabad shopping complex; 8 persons missing

At least eight persons are missing after a major fire engulfed the a famous shopping mall and complex in Secunderabad Thursday evening.

Fire and Rescue Department personnel have rescued at least 12 persons. As many as six fire engines were trying to control the blaze, which fire officials said may have started on the 6th floor of the multi-storey complex.

The Swapnalok Complex houses small and big shops, business establishments, and commercial offices. Hundreds of people work inside the complex but most of them leave by 6 pm, after which the fire is reported to have started. Therefore, only a few persons were trapped inside the complex at the time of the incident.
