Prime Minister Narendra Modi boarded Delhi Metro on his way to attend the centenary celebrations of Delhi University Friday.
In a video shared by the official Twitter handle of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Modi was seen sitting with the commuters and interacting with them in the metro train.
During the centenary celebrations event, Prime Minister Modi also laid the foundation stone of three buildings — Faculty of Technology, a computer centre and an academic block — and released two coffee table books. Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan was the guest of honour.
Delhi University was established on May 1, 1922. Since then, it has grown and expanded immensely and now has 86 departments, 90 colleges, and more than 6 lakh students.
