At Lodhi Road and Akshardham, a thick layer of toxic air hangs low. CPCB data pegs the AQI in Lodhi Garden at 377, while Akshardham AQI is 412.

Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (398), Dwarka Sector 8 (383), Major Dhyan Chand Stadium (381), Lodhi Road (377), Sri Aurobindo Marg (371), Shadipur (360) and IGI Airport (358) reported ‘very poor’ air.

According to the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) forecast, “The air quality is very likely to be in the ‘Very Poor’ category from November 9 to 11,” The Indian Express reported on Saturday.

IITM’s Decision Support System forecast said stubble burning will contribute around 31% to Delhi’s PM2.5 levels on Sunday.

The AQI scale classifies air quality as: Good (0–50), Satisfactory (51–100), Moderately Polluted (101–200), Poor (201–300), Very Poor (301–400), and Severe (401–500). Higher AQI readings indicate increasingly unhealthy air.
