Two individuals were apprehended by the Gurgaon Police on Saturday over an alleged objectionable video of a BJP leader and a woman.
DCP (South) Sidhant Jain said: “Two persons have been apprehended today in connection with a case registered in the matter of the contested video doing the rounds… at PS Cyber East; it is under investigation.”
The FIR was lodged on a complaint by the BJP IT Cell; they alleged the video was circulated in a bid to defame the politician.
The FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Act, said police.
