Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta Sunday inaugurated a Jan Seva Kendra at the community centre in the DDA Flats, Rajiv Gandhi Park, in Kalkaji.
“Today’s event is a tribute to Nari Shakti (power of women). When the MLA, the MP, and the Chief Minister are all women, it is a powerful symbol of women’s leadership and empowerment,” she said. She was joined by Lok Sabha MP Bansuri Swaraj, MLA Shikha Roy, among others.
She said the BJP government is committed to the development of Delhi and will ensure there is no shortage of funds for developmental work. “By electing a triple-engine government led by the BJP, the people of Delhi have demonstrated that when there is a clear vision for development and genuine intent for public welfare, transformation is inevitable,” she said.
Taking to X, the CM said that the newly opened center will serve as a medium for resolving the problems of the common people, as well as aid in providing information about the schemes of the central and state governments. Gupta added that the new centre will deliver prompt assistance to those in need.
Over the past five months, the face of Delhi has begun to change with accelerated progress in sewage management, drainage, roadwork, water systems, pollution control, and other public services, the CM claimed.
“The positive impact of which is now clearly visible,” Gupta added, while stressing that the government remains committed to fulfilling even the smallest aspirations of Delhi’s citizens.
During the event, she also announced that markets in Delhi can now operate 24×7 to aid ease of doing business. Introducing a single-window system for administrative processes, CM said, the move will eliminate the need for traders to make repeated visits to government offices for licences.
