A suspended police constable from Uttar Pradesh openly expressed solidarity with Anna Hazares fast against corruption.
While addressing the crowds at Ramlila Maidan on Wednesday,he said that he had been suspended nine times during his service for being honest and speaking up against corruption.
Constable Subodh Yadav walked up the stage in his police uniform and claimed that he represented 4.5 lakh members of the UP police association.
I am an honest soldier and have been punished for it time and again, he said.
He claimed that he was aware of senior IPS officials involvement in certain cases,including the one of purchase of low quality coffins by the UP police.
I have all the documents concerning these cases and at the first chance,I will submit them to the judiciary, he said adding,I filed an RTI application but did not receive any answers yet.
