A child in the primary section of The Shri Ram School,Aravali,in Gurgaon,was allegedly molested by a school attendant recently.
When contacted,school chairperson Manju Bharat Ram confirmed the incident involving a boy student. She said that the alleged culprit was a contract employee. We have taken appropriate action, she said.
Asked what action had been taken,she declined to comment saying that the parents of the child had requested that the matter not be made public.
When asked what precautions the school had taken in the wake of the incident,Bharat Ram declined to comment.
The schools Parent School Association is expected to take up the matter with the authorities and ask for details on steps being taken to ensure students safety and security.
