Shanti Bhushan accuses Arvind Kejriwal of accepting ‘tainted’ money

Bhushan also alleged that the AAP chief had "abandoned" all principles of inner party democracy.

A day after the AAP swept the Delhi Assembly polls, the party’s founder member Shanti Bhushan stoked another controversy after he attacked AAP chief Arvind Kejrwal in a blog, alleging that tickets were given to people possessing “a lot of wealth from questionable sources”.

Hitting out at Kejriwal, Bhushan in his blog alleged that the AAP chief had “accepted tainted money” and abandoned all principles of inner-party democracy. Bhushan further urged Kejriwal to ensure that those with “shady” backgrounds do not become ministers in the Delhi cabinet.

The AAP leaders, on the other hand, maintained that Bhushan was a senior founder-member of the party and he was entitled to his opinion.

This is not the first time Bhushan has hit out against the AAP. Last year, he had alleged lack of inner-party democracy in the AAP and warned against the party becoming a “one-man show”. Weeks prior to the Delhi Assembly polls, he had praised BJP for announcing Kiran Bedi as their Delhi CM candidate, calling the move a “master stroke”.
