Days before the varsity invites applications for its undergraduate programmes, scores of Delhi University aspirants thronged North Campus on Saturday for the third ‘open day session’ organised by DU to address admission-related queries.
Even as the university has seen dissent as well as confusion over the probable implementation of the choice-based credit system (CBCS) from the new academic session, the sessions have rarely witnessed applicants being perturbed by the change in the course format. Among the primary concerns of most aspirants was on how to fill the online application and OMR forms, calculating best of four percentage and admission under sports quota.

Another student wanted to know how much concession girls would get in the best of four cut-off percentage.
“Colleges can give up to three per cent concession in cut-offs for girls but the colleges will have to provide proper information about this to the university,” an official said.
With DU being hit by fake certificates scam in the past, officials also pointed out that if a student is caught providing fake certificates during admission, not only will the admission be cancelled but further action will be taken against the student.
Underlining the fact that admission takes place on the basis of merit, officials also asked students to approach police in case people offer them seats in return for money.
